Guitel Rosenblum
Guitel Rosenblum was born in Paris in 1932 into a deeply religious Jewish family of eight children. Her parents, originally from Poland, had sought refuge in France and lived in the Marais district of Paris. On July 16, 1942, at the age of 10, Guitel was arrested with her parents, her younger sister Sarah, her sister Pauline, and her brother Isaac during the Vel’ d’Hiv Roundup. Her mother packed a suitcase, still believing they were leaving for a summer camp. A few hours later, they were imprisoned at the Vélodrome d’Hiver. [...+]
